Happy Holidays
Hope your year has been as great as mine!

The year started as usual by my spending January and February in Florida! So what do we find but a bunch of Carriage Park folk enjoying there usual lunch. Here are the Morgans, the Markells and Emilee.

Did go to see the minature circus in Sarasota. It was well worth the trip.

Also, made my usual trips south to visit "old" Purdue folk. Always interested to see Gerry's mineral and gem collection especially as she has them so well displayed.

Feb 14th was time to celebrate and have dinner with the Morgans and Emilee.

March was back to North Carolina and it met me with a great surprise - a snow storm on March 2nd, a great birthday present. Had to park the car at the bottom of the mountain and walked part way up until someone with all wheel drive took me the rest of the way.
To add insult to injury March was my time to visit my proctologist and as we all know had to go throught the preparation. This year I was prepared and my laptop was close and personal all afternoon before the big event.
Spring finally came and one of the best places to enjoy it is at the Biltmore Estate.
Rotary District meeting was held at Stone Mountain, GA and all enjoyed the park as well as the meetings.
August was the time for our annual "Family Vacation" Here we are in a motel near the San Diego airport planning the details of our week at the Lawrence Welk resort in Escondido, CA.

Here we are at the Resort and enjoying the life of Riley.

Also we visited many places including the Wild Animal Park, a vineyard and the SD Museum

Did not get enough "vacation from retardment" yet this year so off I went with Carriage Park folk to spend a week in Hilton Head.

Fall came with a trip north along the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the color.
Continuing on to check out the colors went on a tour of the Dupont Forest

My "flower girl" Lois Hobart and Barbara.

December brought Graduation for nephew Max at Valparaiso University. On the way Barbara and I visited my flower girl from 53 years ago and her husband.

Graduation at Valparaiso University

Here is the graduate, Max, with proud parents!!

A great time was had by all. The following day we all left in a snow storm. Saw the lake effect snow in real time. Snowing big time until we got to Illinois border and no snow plus sunny.

Outside the chapel it was "white-out" time. Snow was moving horizontally. Decided to wait until next day to drive back to Chicago to catch a flight back.

So here we are in December awaiting Santa and his reindeer. Barbara along with Leif and Idunn will visit for the holidays and we will be back to see how we can improve it all for 2011. Have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
